I've just remembered that some of the people I'm connected with live in Germany or are originally from there. My eldest son is going to Bayern in a few days with other students from his secondary school. He will be staying with a local family for a week.
We're wondering what he could bring to the family who are kind enough to host him. My better half will be baking macarons, which are one of the most French things you can find, but we're a little short of ideas for other things he could bring with him. We don't think alcohol or wine would be appropriate.
